Laura Kay (Russ) Clayton, 63 of Evansville, Indiana passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on March 12, 2019 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.
Laura was born in Evansville, Indiana to the late Rurel and Anna Laura (Paxton) Russ. She cherished her family and was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her daughters Melissa and Kendra Clayton; grandchildren, Deshai Jackson, Nathen Jackson, Kayla Jackson, Kyle Clayton, Ian Simmons, Austin Hancock, Alexus Kemp, Pearl Kemp and Brianna Clayton; companion, Steven Hart; brother Kenneth Ancil Russ and many other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Richard Clayton; siblings, Phillis Susan Russ, Barbara Ann Russ Williams, Linda Fay Russ Below, Wanda Lee Russ Simpson, Brenda Jean Russ Dunn, Mark Paxton Russ.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Howell Park Shelter, 1101 S Barker Avenue, Evansville, from 4:00 P.M. to sundown.
