Christopher E. “Chris” Maynard, 35, of Loogootee passed away at 1:38pm on January 30, 2020, after a long, brave battle with an illness. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly.
He was born on June 4, 1984, to Charles and Debra (Chamberlain) Maynard. Chris worked in construction, spending several years at the Jones and Sons Concrete factory. He belonged to a variety of churches throughout his life.
As a child, Christopher enjoyed hunting, riding four-wheelers, and fishing. As he grew up, he became interested in and enjoyed drawing. Chris was known for his big heart, willing to do anything for anyone. His sense of humor was one of his greatest qualities, his infectious smile lighting up any room. A sweet young man who loved his parents deeply, his affection for them was evident to all who were blessed to be a part of his life.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Debra Maynard of Loogootee, sister, Nicole Maynard, three nieces, a great-nephew, many aunts and uncles, his faithful, four-legged companion, Rex, and dear friends, Adam “Pooh” and Tiffany Hill.
He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A celebration of life in honor of Christopher will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice Foundation to help another in need. Friends may send a condolence to the family at www.SimpleCremationEvansville.com.
