Carmi, IL – David “Pete” Kent Moore, 61, of Carmi, Illinois, passed away on July 26, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. Pete was born on July 29, 1958 in Fairfield, Illinois to the late Alan and Eleanor (Hicks) Moore.
Pete was a hard-working man who spent his entire life laboring out in the oil fields. He enjoyed watching sports games and was a devoted fan to the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Bobbie; son, Clint Moore; stepsons, Robert Belka, Eric Belka, Tad Belka, and Jerod Newcomb; siblings, Stan Moore, Kevin Moore, Suellyn Cowles as well as 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pete is preceded in death by his brother, Alan Lee Moore.
A private celebration of Pete’s life will be held at a later date.
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.

Pete will always be missed and will never be forgotten by his friends and family. He was loved and cared about by everyone that knew him. He had a unique since of humor, that is unlikely to be matched by anyone. . .”PawPaw Pete” was loved by all his grandchildren, who will always be reminded of him through all the story’s we will tell them. He was/is my “true” father-in-law. . . we love you Pete.

Never had Pete been so missed n loved as I have for him I may of not been the best wife but I miss him everyday no one can ever relate to how I felt or guilt I have had unless I’ve been there. Others may judge u but they do not know wat you’ve gone thru.
Pete was a good hardworking man that is truly missed in which I had a urn personalized for him
