Rita Carroll, Petersburg, IN, age 64 went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2020. Rita was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family, singing, and listening to K-love. She had many talents including writing, drawing/sketching, cooking, and cake decorating. Her faith and family were most important to her. She instilled the importance of each into her children. She was the epitome of love. She had a silly sense of humor, loved to laugh and she had a great one. Her life wasn’t easy, but she trusted God to guide her steps. Above all else, as much as she loved her family, she loved Jesus. Though our hearts are broken, we celebrate her reunion with her previously passed family.
She is survived by her children: Rhonda Glispie, Christina (Steve) Hadley, Sara (Bo) Warner, Irwin (Bethany) Glispie, Jacob (Sheri) Glispie, Scott (Amberly) Glispie; 13 grandchildren; 1 brother, Steve (Wanda) Carroll, and four sisters: Hope Knipp, Sharon McDavid, Amber Carroll, and Pam (Ralph) Nutter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Bledsoe Carroll, father, Ora Carroll, and sister, Linda Mabry.
The family would like to thank the staff of Heart to Heart hospice and to all of those who prayed, visited, provided food, and donated.
Memorial services will be September 5th at 1 pm (EST) at Jesus Christ Our Firm Foundation Church.
Donations can be sent in her honor to K-Love or Heart to Heart Hospice.
