Evansville, IN – Ronald Lee Shelton, 76, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on January 14, 1944 in Evansville, Indiana to his late parents, Harold and Jeanette.
Ron had a great passion for education and learning, constantly attending classes at Ivy Tech, USI, U of E and IUPUI throughout his entire life. Aside from his academic achievements, he was a United States Navy veteran and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #1114 of Evansville, Indiana.
He is survived by his son, Kelly Shelton and his daughter in law, Kathy; grandchildren, Bailey, Carson, Spencer and Roier Shelton as well as several extended family members.
Ron is preceded in death by his siblings, Harold, Bruce and Tona.
There will be a small gathering at Mo’s House (Haynie’s Corner) in Evansville, Indiana from 3 P.M. – 5 P.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2020, for all who would like to raise a toast to Ron.
Simple Cremation is entrusted with care.
