Amie Rachelle (Rodarmel) Bruner, 50, of Vincennes, passed away Nov. 25, 2020, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.
Born Dec. 24, 1969, in Decatur, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. and Pamela A. (Cole) Rodarmel. She grew up in Vincennes, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1988. While in high school, Amie greatly enjoyed her time as first chair trumpet in the Pride of the Green Marching Band, Pep Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble. In 1999, Amie married Thomas M. Bruner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, returning to Vincennes with her son in 2011. Although she was disabled with several health conditions, Amie devoted herself to her family at home: her cousin, Cyndi Glass; her son, Maslin Bruner; her dog, Pippin; and her cats, George and Gracie. She enjoyed finding bargains at thrift stores and on eBay, collecting vintage cookbooks and special dolls, cooking, going for country drives, singing, Star Wars, Star Trek, and many superhero, horror, sci-fi, and suspense movies, several crime TV shows, and classic movies of all genres.
Preceding her in death were her parents;a younger brother, Brian Patrick Rodarmel; an aunt, Laurel Sue (Rodarmel) Glass; and her grandparents, Duane and Stella Rodarmel and Marlin and Snotha Cole.
Besides her cousin and son, survivors are her brother, Michael C. (Christine) Rodarmel of Terre Haute; a nephew, Brian P.
