MOUNT VERNON, IN. – Dorothy “Dottie” Glover, 67, died Saturday, March 6, 2021, at The Terrace by Solarbron in Evansville, Indiana of cancer.
Dottie was born in Elgin, Illinois on February 21, 1954. A graduate of Barrington Heights High School, she worked hard throughout her life and was an excellent cook. She treasured time with family and enjoyed laughing and telling jokes. Dottie loved traveling to the beach and watching the sunset.
She is survived by her son, John Alexander (Alex) Glover; grandchildren, Damian Glover and Zane Glover; brothers-in-law, John Carroll, Sr., and Gerry Otahal; her nephews and nieces, John and Amber Carroll, Andy and Brandy Carroll, Harmony (Otahal) Gratzer, Bethany (Otahal) and Michael Wilhite, Rachel (Glover) and Chris Davidson, Mandy (Embry) and Dustin Collins, Jason Glover, and Kasey (Glover) Kuhn; as well as numerous grand-nieces and nephews.
Dottie was preceded in death by her father, Glen D. Glover; mother, Joan (Johnson) Glover-Conyers; brother, Glen Glover Jr.; and sisters, Linda D. Otahal and Julie Carroll.
A celebration of her life will be held at New Harmony First Baptist Church on March 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Face masks are required, and social distance guidelines will be followed. For more information about attending the service virtually, please contact the family at 812-480-6685.
