Evansville, IN – Connie Darlene Ethridge, 63, of Evansville, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her friends and family on Friday, May 28, 2021 at her home in Evansville. She was born on July 15, 1957 in Evansville, Indiana to Raymond and Dorothy (Uzzle) Wilson.
Selfless and caring, Connie devoted much of her life volunteering for multiple charitable organizations including the Rescue Mission and Deaconess Hospice. She loved being a mother, grandmother, spending time outdoors, cooking and baking, and enjoying time with her family that remembers her and her capacity for unconditional love and selflessness.
She is survived by her husband, John Ethridge; children, Julie Howard, Brad Wilson, John Ethridge, II (Madyson) and Kristen de Jong (Brock); mother, Dorothy (Uzzle) Wilson; grandchildren, Deven Garrett (Camysha), Dhezmond Garrett, Dawson Garrett, Gabriel Wilson, Keegan Byrne, Alaina de Jong, Audrey Ethridge and Savana de Jong; great grandchild, Xyliah Garrett; brother, Dennis Wilson (Judy); uncle, Perry Uzzle and her special friends, DiAnne Evans and Susan Ruholl.
Connie is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Arnett Wilson; brother, Darrel Wilson; aunt, Farrel Kemble (Sam) and her nephew, Joshua Wilson.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
