Todd ‘Tyler’ Fruit, 41, passed away August 28, 2021 in Newburgh, IN. Tyler was born August 14, 1980 in Gillette, WY.
Tyler, was a graduate of Castle High School-class of 1999, where he was active in Student Council, YL and a member of the Castle soccer team. Shortly after high school he joined the Marine Corp. He worked various jobs during his career; auto mechanic, aluminum smelter worker, and electrical lineman.
Tyler had a huge heart, passion for connecting with people, and helping others. Tyler was the proud father of the loves of his life, two beautiful daughters, Brielle Autunm Fruit,12 and Evelyn Rose Fruit,11.
He was preceded in death by his sister Heidi Lynn Fruit.
In addition to his daughters, Tyler is survived by his parents, Homer and Ann Fruit, Newburgh; sisters Holli Sullivan, husb. Chad, Evansville, IN and Heather Zehr, husb. Alex of Dubois, IN; and 5 nephew and nieces.
Celebration of life will be held at CFC (Christian Fellowship Church) at 4100 Millersburg Road, Evansville, IN 47725, (live streamed at cfcclassic.online.church) with calling hours from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m., and service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, officiated by Issac Martin. A private family burial will be held at another date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to Tyler Fruit Memorial Fund (a college fund for his children) that has been set up at ONB (Old National Bank) One Main Street, Evansville, IN 47708.
