Thomas Howard Morris Sr., went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Tom was a proud graduate of Mater Dei high school and was a retired Millwright. Tom was known for his strong will and his hard work ethic. In his downtime, he had plenty of hobbies that he enjoyed doing, such as reading, birdwatching and going on drives to the stripper pits to take pictures. He was a huge sports fanatic! He was especially proud of his hole in one at Hamilton Golf Course. He loved watching IU basketball and Notre Dame football. He was his son Tom’s soccer coach for multiple years and loved to watch his granddaughters play the game as well. Tom was a very generous man and would go out of his way to help others if he thought he could. Tom loved his children and his grandchildren. He also loved to banter back and forth with his daughter-in-law Joy, memories that she will never forget.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace…Ephesians 1:7
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come….2 Corinthians 5:17
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Howard & Frances (Macken) Morris and brothers Ronnie Morris & Michael “Mike” Morris.
Tom was survived by his children Michele Morris and Thomas Morris (Joy); grandchildren, Crystal Willis (Miles), Samantha Eberhart (Greg); great grandchildren, Tyler Robinson, Hayden Willis, Paxton Willis and Maxwell Eberhart; siblings Mary Ann Schneider, Kathy West, Jane Theis and David Morris.

I sure hated to hear of Tom’s passing. He was a great Brother in law and friend! Unfortunately I have not seen him much in the last 25 years. We use to pitch horse shoes, play a little softball and share a beer or two in my precious life. There are a lot things we did together from camping, hunting, riding off road motorcycles and going to basketball games. I have missed all of these things in previous years!
I am sorry for Tom and Michele’s loss. I will be praying for your family as you deal with this loss!
Tom and Joy says
Thank you for the kind words and good memories! Most of all thank you for your prayers!
