Burton Marcus (Marc) Loveman of Wheatland, Indiana died at home in his sleep on August 29, 2022. He was 68 years old.
Marc was born in Lawrenceville, Illinois on April 18, 1954. He grew up in Nebraska and attended Bellevue High School. He moved to Southern Indiana as a young adult. Marc along with his wife and younger children spent several years in Englewood, Florida before returning to Indiana and settling in Wheatland.
Marc owned Loveman Construction and worked in various building trades throughout his life. He had also been a foreman at J&R Coal Company in Bicknell, Indiana. He enjoyed hunting for deer, elk, and mushrooms; fishing for catfish and bluegill; riding his Harley; tinkering around in his shop; camping; gardening; and spending time with his family. He was a dedicated husband, good dad, proud grandpa, loyal friend, hard worker, and lover of the outdoors. Recently retired, he and his wife were looking forward to spending time on the open road as they traveled across the country in their RV.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Loveman, four children: Marcus Loveman of Edwardsport, Rachel Loveman (Lyle Fettig) of Indianapolis, Natalie Crowe (John) of Owensburg, and Clinton Loveman of Wheatland, and six grandchildren: Ezra Fettig, Oliver Fettig, Liam Crowe, Evelyn Crowe, Jameson Crowe, and Atlas Loveman. He is also survived by two sisters, Kate Loveman of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Melesa Loveman of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burton Marcus Loveman, Jr. and Marianna Loveman of Lawrenceville, Illinois
Per Marc’s wishes, there will be no formal service and hence no flowers. Instead, think of him as you hold your loved ones tight, crack open a beer, and live life to the fullest until you are a Free Bird, too.
The family would like to sincerely thank Deputy Coroner, Josh Like, and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department for their kindness and assistance on Marc’s day of passing.

Lynn, I was so sorry and shocked to hear this. They’re just are no words that will make you feel better. I know it’s horrible when you think that you’re just in the prime of life and getting ready to do everything fun together. I kind of know how you feel. You will feel like yelling and screaming and kicking. My advice to you is do it. It does help, at least for the moment. Just be careful what you kick.
