Marnie Lee Buchanan passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Heart to Heart Hospice care in Evansville, Indiana.
Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Marnie expanded her world travels in adulthood by living in Sydney Australia, and traveling to Fiji, Tahiti, Singapore, New Zealand, France, Bermuda, Mexico, the Bahamas, and Austria, before settling in different parts of the United States.
Marnie graduated from Indiana University with a double major in Journalism and French and had a knack for learning other languages. Marnie also received a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies at the University of Melbourne.
Marnie enjoyed living on the east coast and working at various companies including AAA, USA Today, and the Smithsonian Catalogue, but raising her son, Ethan Tang, in Evansville Indiana was her favorite accomplishment.
Marnie is survived by her mother, Fumiko Buchanan, and her son, Ethan Tang.
Marnie is preceded in death by her father, Billie Joe Buchanan, who is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
Marnie’s beauty, dry wit, perfect etiquette, and love for family and friends will always be remembered.
