Henderson, KY – Jerry Dale Duckworth, 70, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. He was born on June 4, 1952 in Henderson to the late Robert and Ruth (Moseley) Duckworth.
Jerry was a man of few words, however, when he spoke it truly mattered. He took great pride in mowing and taking care of his yard. Growing up as a poor farm boy, he never could have imagined that he would one day drive through all 50 states with his wife, Linda as his backseat driver. He worked at Carl Kratz Sales for 22 years, and after 25 years he retired from Miller Pipeline.
He spent his last day with his friends and family laughing, telling jokes and playing music. He will be missed by many, especially his “little fellas” and “Colorado Crew.”
Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda (Harris) Duckworth; his children, Marnel Todd, Christina Metcalf (Wayne), Jeri Lynn Powell and Jesse Duckworth; his grandchildren, Bobbie Ann, Zachary Metcalf (Kayla), Kayla Wayne Metcalf, Trevor Metcalf, Ashtin Powell and Ryder Powell; great-grandchild, Sophie with another on the way; his siblings, Nancy Sauer (Rick), Ron Duckworth (Mila) and Kathy Dixon as well as his brothers-in-law, Jeffery Harris and Scott Harris (Lori).
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob Duckworth.
No services are to be held as according to his wishes.
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.
