Evansville, IN – John H. Elpers 85, of Evansville, IN passed away February 9th 2023. He graduated from Mater Dei West in 1955 and served in the United States Navy. He worked as a car mechanic. John lived his life well, enjoying motorcycles, guns, and cars. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, sharing stories and family news. John is survived by a son, Wayne and “the girls”, Diane and Joyce. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Terri. John was honored with 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. He has two remaining sisters. A memorial service is planned for February 17th 2023 4-6pm at Covert Ave Baptist Church in Evansville. Dinner will be provided after the service.
