Michael Ray “Mike” Smith, 60, of Evansville, passed away in his home on Sunday, February 12, 2023. He was a lifelong musician of high skill, an expert marksman, and he “never met a stranger.” He was a vivacious spirit, bringing laughter to those around him, and he will be greatly missed.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Ray Leon Smith; his mother, Alice Jordan Smith; his sister, Vickie Smith Welden; and his niece, Kari Renee Welden. He is survived by his children, Alex Esther Smith and Adam Michael Smith, and fiancée, Cierra Patrick; his nephew, Eric Welden and wife, Stacey Welden; his two great-nephews, Matthew Welden and Joshua Welden; and his girlfriend, Pam Clouse.
A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 4th at 1 PM CST, with a visitation at 11 AM CST, held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Evansville, IN. This will be a potluck, so please bring food if you are able.
