Clay Isacc Russell, 62, of Evansville, made his transition from this life to life eternal surrounded by his family on March 3, 2023.
Clay was born on December 13, 1960 to a military family, moving around in service to our country, they eventually settled in the Midwest along the Kentucky-Indiana line. Clay attended school in Louisville and eventually moved to Evansville, Indiana establishing his own family here in the tri-state. Clay worked for many years in food processing and then in construction for most of his adult working life. He was a great provider to his family and an immensely hard worker. He was also known as a great friend, a father and a grandfather in his later years. He loved playing darts and won many pool tournaments. Clay was a football fan every Sunday and was forever faithful to the Washington Redskins, win or lose. It’s truly been said he would give his friend his last dime and the shirt off his back. He was preceded in death by his Father Clay W. Russell and mother Nelda M. Russell, his brother James Tanner and his sister Deborah Sutton.
Clay is survived by his three Children, Craig Russell, Kelly George, and Tiffany Lampton all of Evansville. Nine grandchildren: Gracin, Nathaniel, Trace, Addicyn, Isabella, Christian, Deakin, Jonah and Bryce.
