Judith C. Wedding, Evansville, Indiana, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21st, 2023. She was born March 16, 1944 to the late Charles Wedding and Agnes Buttrum of Sebree, Kentucky.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Layne (Melissa) of Evansville and Clayton Layne (Stacy) of Owensboro; two grandsons, Dustin and Dacota Layne; several step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one brother; several sisters; nieces and nephews.
Judith was a devoted mother and friend, whose greatest pleasure was spending time with those she loved. Judith had a natural talent for carpentry and loved sharing her knowledge. She loved fishing and being outdoors.
Judith was preceded in death by her beloved companion “Sassie”.
The family would like to thank the Heritage Center for the extraordinary care given to Judith, also Heart to Heart Hospice.
A private family burial will be held at Springdale Cemetery, Sebree, Ky at a later date.

Judy was a great friend and roommate to my mom Mary Lou. Judy taught me how to care for my mom while she was at Heritage.! Judy was indispensable in my mom’s care, even though she was in bed. Our family believes that Mary Lou received better care with Judy in the room to watch over her. She was quite a blessing. Jesus loves you
