Cindy Lou Reed, 62, passed away, unexpectedly of natural causes, on Wednesday, May 31st of 2023, at her home. She was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana and attended Benjamin Bosse High School, where she graduated in 1979.
Cindy was a unique individual that touched the hearts of almost any person she encountered. Strong, determined, and tenacious are a few words that come to mind about her. She never backed down from a challenge. Whether it was in her work or family life. An astute learner, she carried many titles and pursued a plethora of different careers and hobbies. From creating and selling her own jewelry, banking, locksmithing, production, zoo handling, insurance, real estate, college recruiting, to even being a Master Gardener.
Cindy cared deeply for her family. She made sure all family gatherings and traditions were always remembered. Even going so far as to, sometimes, hold multiple gatherings for the same celebration. She was protective while continuing to encourage growth. She had an uncanny ability to nurture everything she loved in her life. She was loved deeply and will be missed by all those lucky enough to have known her.
Cindy was preceded in death by her Father, Daniel Stephen Doggett; Husband, Charles Louis Reed; and Son, Daniel Jacob Reed. She is survived by her Mother, Phillis Ann Ragsdale; Sister, Christine Marshall; Son; Charles Nickolas Reed, and Niece; Hannah Shrewsberry.
