Evansville, IN – Micki Jimenez, 66, of Gary, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born on March 5, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Angel Jimenez, Sr. and Consuelo (Valdez) Lopez.
Micki enjoyed cooking for her friends and family as well as making wreaths and other crafts. She worked in customer service at Walmart and Abuelo’s for many years until she retired. Micki loved to dance in every stage of her life. She loved her dogs, Luca and P.J., who loved her back unconditionally. She also loved spending time with and getting to know her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her father, Angel Jimenez, Sr.; her children, Freda Jimenez, Crystal (Jamie) Layton, Michael Jimenez and David (Shae) Jimenez; her grandchildren, Mikey (Angel) Flores, Jordan (Airel) Jimenez, Bailey (Jasmine) Jimenez, Jacob Jimenez, Mason (Harmony) Jimenez, Preston Van Horn, Destinee (Austin) Van Horn, Jamie (Linda) Layton, Jr., Koda Layton, Kristian Layton, Rylee Raab, Mylo, Harmony, and Ezra Jimenez; her great-grandchildren, Leilani, L.J., Mia, Lino, Cinco, Kennedy, April, Mateo, Nevaeh, Nova, Jamison, Lani and Niomi as well as her siblings, Patricia Jimenez-Ramos and Angel Jimenez, Jr.
Micki is preceded in death by her parents Consuelo and Socoro Lopez. Also, her siblings Jesus Moro, Connie Schwing and her grandson Daniel Jimenez as well as four loving nieces Angelina Lopez, Evette Santos, Trishy Bozeman, Kayla Lopez and nephew JJ Moro.
A celebration of life is being planned for August 5th, 2023 in NW Indiana, details to follow.
