Janie Sue (Krohn) Kuntz, 77 of Evansville, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023.
Janie held various jobs while younger, sometimes two jobs to support her family. She retired from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles after 31 years as a Driver’s License Examiner. Janie enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and grand dogs, especially Heidi who was her recliner buddy and Franklin (whom they shared a love-hate relationship)!
Janie was preceded in death by her parents Clarence (Bob) and Betty Krohn, a daughter Maria, her husband Robert “Bob” Kuntz, grandson Robert Yarde, great granddaughter Kinsley Parker, sister Cindy Krohn, and brother Rickie Krohn.
Janie is survived by her daughter Amanda Yarde (Kelly), son Adam Bowman (Darlene). Grandchildren Brett Bowman (Kelsey), Ashley Marek (John), Kelly Parker (Elijah), and Shelly Wallace (Seth). Great grandchildren Ivy & Mason Bowman, Xander, Silas, Millie, & Haley Parker, Gracelyn & Savannah Marek, Isaiah & Kaylee Wallace. Her brother Gene and sisters Missy & Nancy also survive Janie.
There will be no services at this time per Janie’s wish. There will be a Celebration of Life (or a wing-ding as Janie called it!) at a later time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Spirit Medical Fund, 815 Uhlhorn Street, Evansville, IN 47710

Mandy, loved your Mom. She made my first days at work so much better. She was always good to me. She always made me laugh with her stories. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
