Jesse Barnett, a dedicated employee with the EVSC for over 40 years, passed away on December 5th. He was known for his unwavering commitment to his work and his passion for serving the school community.
Beyond his professional life, Jesse had a deep love for music and photography. He found solace and joy in capturing moments through the lens of his camera, creating lasting memories for himself and others. Jesse’s creativity extended beyond photography, as he had a knack for puns and a dry sense of humor that never failed to bring a smile to the faces of those around him.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Gwen Barnett, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Jessica Hammond (husband Dan) and Rachel Barnett (husband Stuart). Jesse was also a proud Papi to his granddaughters, Prudence and Tallulah, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life.
Jesse Barnett will be remembered for his dedication, his love for music and photography, and his ability to bring laughter to any situation. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
In honor of his love for technology and his endearing wit this obituary was created by AI; we couldn’t have written it better ourselves! Gwen,
I was sorry to read about your husband’s passing on Facebook. I remember meeting him at the 2016 National Health Science Conference in Louisville, KY. We had a nice conversation. I know your heart is broken and only time will provide you any peace. Please know I’m sending my sympathy and prayers that the Lord will surround you love at this most difficult time in your life.

He always had a solution for our problems; if he did not know the answer he would look it up for you. I thought that he had in his office a magic hat 🙂 whatever random part you needed for your computer he would have it. He loved to share stories about the wonderful vacations he took with his family and the restaurants he went to. I miss you, my friend!
My deepest sympathy to his family.
