Thea Crowder Koonce

Thea Crowder Koonce, passed away on February 28, 2024.  She was born on February 25, 1965, in Springfield, Illinois.

She enjoyed giving her husband a hard time during the many years of marriage they shared. Her husband was her best friend and soul mate. She enjoyed going to the drag races and crocheting. Her favorite thing about life was her grandchildren. She would always share how proud she was of her children and grandchildren with anyone that would listen. She loved her fur babies, but her dog Houdini was loved more than life. She was always an advocate for the cats that needed a home. Thea was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, sister, cousin and aunt. She was loved by many.

Thea is preceded in death by her parents Harry Crowder, Jr.  and Alice Crowder and her siblings Linda Crowder and Douglas Crowder.

Surviving is her husband of 35 years Kenneth Koonce; children Kenneth (Cassie) Koonce, JR., Linda (Michael) Carpenter, and Katherine (Joe Patterson) Koonce; her wonderful grandchildren Ryan Marshall, Alice Mae, Deborah Lee, Thomas David, and Ellie Rosaleen, and her sister Debbie (Jimi) Driver.
