Jill Lynn Marx, 57, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.
Jill was born March 1, 1967, in Evansville, Indiana to Donald and Doris (Steckler) Marx. She was a graduate of North High School. She worked at T.J. Maxx, Wesselmans, Target, and Hilltop Inn.
Jill was always the fun-loving life of the party person. She always had a story to tell, she never met a stranger, and loved to give big hugs and kisses. Her favorite saying was “Has anyone told you, they love you today? Well, I do.” Every year on her loved one’s birthdays she would call them and put “Marilyn Monroe” on the phone and have her sing Happy Birthday to them. She also did a great turkey call on Thanksgiving.
Jill was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her siblings Gerald (Brenda) Marx of Haubstadt, Gayle (Steve) Zeller of Evansville and Dawn “Suzie” (Tom) Mossberger of Owensville.
Jill loved her nieces and nephews like her own. Phillip, Matthew, Andrew and Josh Marx; Heather, Jeremy and Amber Zeller; and Nick, Mike, Kevin, Chris Mossberger and Crystal York; 19 great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jill’s life will be held at The Gathering Church, 121 Walnut St, Evansville, IN on April 13, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. Friends are welcome to join the family.
A burial will be held at St. Johns Daylight Cemetery at a later date.
Aunt Janet says
Jill Lynn Marx was my niece, daughter of my sister, Doris Ann (Steckler) and Donald Marx. Although she was the youngest of their four children, she made up for it by becoming the spokesperson of the Marx
Family, the Aunt and caretaker of her nieces and nephews, and eventually her mother and father, and anyone else she met. She always shared her love with others and she was your friend for life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends because of all the nurturing she gave to others.
Praying for family and friends for acceptance and peace.
Love, Aunt Janet
