Bonny Lynn Choate Warner, 66, passed away April 26th 2024 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born November 30, 1957 to Luana (Eller) Johnson and the late Horace Choate. In recent days, she has been spreading joy throughout the halls of Heritage Woods of Newburgh, where she resided. In true Bonny fashion, she was known for her free haircuts, manicures, pedicures, and spontaneous game nights. She was an avid fan of board games, the Gaither Vocal band, gospel music, and Little House on the Prairie. Bonny attended Bethel Church in Evansville where she volunteered in stage productions and kids’ ministry for many years, touching the lives of both young and old alike.
Bonny was a photographer that found great joy in capturing the hearts of families on film. Over the course of her career, she began a tradition on Easter and Christmas which allowed customers to trade one jar of peanut butter for one free 5×7 print in addition to their purchased package. The accumulated jars were donated to local food banks.
Bonny is survived by her husband Mark Warner. Her three children: Shawna (Kevin) Adams, Timothy (Lisa) Warner, and Kris (Heather) Warner. Foster children: Amanda (Clay) Morris and Rusty Williams. Grandchildren: Mike (Richi) Adams, Brandon (Briana) Adams, Katlyan (Brandon) Eden, Hannah Adams, Alivia Schwambach, Justin Adams, Maci Warner, Caleb Adams, Gavin Warner, Faith Warner, Eli Warner, Mia Warner, Gage Warner, Gabbi Warner, and Eden Warner. Great grandchildren: Charles Adams, Abram Adams, Pasleigh Cooper, and Rose Adams. Her five siblings and many nieces and nephews.
A public Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 6:30-8:00 pm at Bethel Church 4400 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN. In lieu of gifts and in honor of the tradition so close to her heart, please bring a jar of peanut butter that her family will donate to a local food pantry.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of those who have supported them during this difficult time.
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.
