David L. Hupp, 73 of Evansville, IN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Born on February 28,1951, he was the son of Eugene and Gladys (Lloyd) Hupp. A 1969 graduate of F.J. Reitz High School, he went on to ISUE (now USI) to major in Psychology.
In the early 80’s Dave owned Hupp Property Management, later worked alongside dear friend Steve Falls at Indian Image, and then retired after many years with Regency Property Mgmt in Commercial Real Estate & Management. During his time in Evansville he served on the Board For Center City Corporation and Angel Mounds.
In 1996 after retirement he moved to Winter Haven, FL to enjoy what he loved most, sunshine and fishing. While in Winter Haven, he served as a Diplomat of Tourism for Polk County tourism officials at Cypress Gardens, Chairman of the Polk County Lakes Access Advisory Committee, served on the County Commission’s Impact Fee Advisory Committee, was involved in reviving a local Florida Bipartisans Civic Affairs Group, and a proud member of Natural High Adventures Fishing Club.
He is survived by his daughter Tiffany (Jimmy) Boyd, dear cousin Tom Lloyd, his life-long and cherished friends the Geezers as well as his beloved Hummingbird Lane family.
Per his request, no funeral services will be held. In Capt. Dave’s honor, take a moment to throw a line in the water or enjoy a breathtaking sunset and appreciate all the beauty nature has to offer.
