Ray died peacefully at home surrounded by family members. He was 84 years old. A resident of Evansville for the past 22 years, he spent early years serving in the US Army with two tours in Viet Nam attaining the rank of LTC. He then went to work for Whirlpool Corp. and enjoyed working in procurement and international procurement until retirement in 2001. He made many friends during his travels.
Ray is survived by Sandra (Armstrong) his wife of 65 years. Son, Michael W., son, Timothy W. wife Shelia, daughter Jeannie Holaday-Elliott husband Hans, and twin brother, Richard K. wife Carolyn. His grandchildren are, Sam, wife Holly, Jesse Holaday, Erica Songer, Jordon Wildt, Hayden Elliott, and Hannah Elliott, and four great grandchildren.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents,
W.O.(Holly) and Alberta L (Russell) Holaday.
