Kenneth Earl Baker of Evansville, IN, went to be with our Lord at the age of 67 on November 29, 2024, at Heart to Heart Hospice.
He was born to Quincy Earl Baker and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Baker on September 16, 1957. Kenny attended Clark Elementary School and Boonville High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and ultimately received his GED from WorkOne.
Kenny loved spending time with his family and friends. His mother and son were the light of his life. He will be remembered for his caring nature and generosity. Kenny was known by many as the man who walked from Boonville, IN to Evansville, IN.
Kenny loved our Lord. He worshipped at many churches throughout his time. More recently having fellowship at Center of Hope, and Rhythm Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Layla Sue Hill and Gladys Huggins; brothers Gary Hill and Bob Baker; sister-in-law Marion Hill; brothers-in-law Burtis Miller and Harold Skelton I.
Kenny is survived by his son Kenneth W. Baker (Miakaila); grandchildren Taylor Colvin, Kevin Baker, and Jewell Baker; sisters Ronnie Wood (Edward), Cathy Miller, Lisa Skelton, and Marcella Baker; his 3 favorite cousins, Debbie Warren, Kimberly Garcia, and Brian Smith; nieces Mary Katherine, Audra Arthur, Melissa Cameron and Lisa Clayton; nephews Wayne Wood, Danny Wood, Jeremy Hill, Joshua Hill, Claude Miller, and Larry Miller; and a plethora of descendants.
The family would like to thank the PACE team, Renee from Ascension, Dr. Brown, Dr. Nelson, and the Heart to Heart Hospice for all of the loving care that he received.
Simple Cremation Evansville is handling the final arrangements. There will be a celebration of life held at a later time. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorials Butterfly Garden.
