Aida returned to her eternal resting place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. She was surrounded by her family while listening to soft worship music. Aida is survived by her children, Angelo, Jr (Carrie), Tracy and Dawn (Thomas). She was also blessed with eight grandchildren including: Laura, Brittany, Kaitlyn (Daniel), Robert, Anthony (Emma), Gina, Jillian and John. Aida was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia (Jim) and is survived by her niece, Lisa (Keith), nephew, Brian (April) and niece, Debbie (Dustin). She was also preceded in death by her brother Marvey, sister in-laws, Rosie and Katherine and is survived by her sister in-laws, Lucille and Ann.
Aida was born in Mexico on 5/5/1943 and her family moved to Chicago when she was six years old. Chicago was her home for over six decades of her life. She married her husband, Angelo Frieri, Sr in 1970 and they were together until his passing in 2009. Over the past 12 years, Aida considered Evansville home where she was closer to her family, church and friends. For the past 5 years, she enjoyed companionship with her partner, Don Snyder.
Aida remained very active throughout her life. She worked for many years as a professional childcare provider. In her free time she enjoyed bible study groups, music, playing card games, water aerobics and spending time with family and friends.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Faithway Baptist Church, 3635 Pollack Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714. Visitation will be from 10-11am, followed by a memorial service beginning at 11am and lunch at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you please consider bringing a side dish or dessert for the lunch meal.
