Benjamin Allen Brian passed away on April 4, 2023, after a brief battle with brain cancer. Ben was surrounded by his big, devoted and close-knit family. Ben was born on October 30, 2004, in Mazatenango, Guatemala. He spent the last five years serving with his family in Guatemala as missionaries. He moved back to the United States after finishing high school in 2022. Upon his return to Evansville, he began his first job at Chick-fil-A; he was a very proud and dedicated employee.
Ben was kind, hardworking, and compassionate. He had such a caring heart. He loved all animals, but especially his dog (Pip) and his cat (Fat Toby). He loved his job and enjoyed playing video games with friends. He adored his large family and always looked forward to being with his siblings.
Ben trusted in Jesus and found comfort and hope in His promises. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
Ben is survived by his loving parents, Charles and Emily Brian; sisters, Chloe Harper (Daniel), Amelia Kester (Kyle), Dottie Jo Brian, Maryori Brian, and Daniela Brian; brothers, William Brian (Emma), and Chase Brian; his grandparents, Bill and Linda Brian and Bob and Karen White; one niece, Charlie Beth Harper, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Ben’s life will be held at Hatfield Bethel Church (1064 N. Bennett St. Hatfield, IN 47617). Visitations will be held on Friday, April 14, 4:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, April 15, 10:00-11:30 AM, with the service to follow at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the ministry that Ben was an integral part of developing- Hearts for Him Guatemala. Donations can be made online at: heartsforhimguatemala.com, via PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/heartsforhimguate, or checks can be written to Hearts for Him Guatemala and mailed to: 10566 Hampton Place Newburgh, IN 47630.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at The Linda E. White Hospice House and to the Crosspointe Chick-fil-A.

I had the privilege of teaching/tutoring Ben in Guatemala at Encounter Academy. In an attempt to get to know him better I asked what his future plans where after high school. Without hesitation he said he wanted to be a Marine because they go and save those in the greatest need. I thought that was such a compassionate and Noble thing for someone his age to say, very thoughtful and kind showing a part of where his heart was. He will be missed.

Dear Brian family,
Please accept our deepest condolences with the passing of sweet Ben. We are praying for your family daily. Take heart and find comfort in the verse, written by the prophet Isaiah 43:1/3
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
