I remember my Aunt Bettye most for always being there for her family. When my mom/her sister was ill, I stayed with my aunt on several occasions. I always loved these visits, as Aunt Bettye was so kind and fun to be with. I don’t think I ever heard her say a cross word to anyone. As a child, she taught me about gardening and caring for animals. I have never known a more beautiful person—both inside and out. I will always love and miss her. The world is not quite as good a place with her sweet, gentle soul no longer in it.
