Stendal, IN – Billy Clarence Nance, 81, of Stendal, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 1, 1942 in Hardin County, Tennessee to the late Forrest and Anna (Evans) Nance. He married Patricia S. Wehr (Katterhenry) on August 2, 1997 in Smoky Mt., Tennessee.
Billy served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He loved hunting, fishing, going to auctions and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Nance; his children, Cheryl Avery and Jennifer Brown; his grandchildren, Larry Brown, Jr., Shawn Lindsey, Adam Lindsey, Sara Lindsey, Jacob Lindsey, Amber Avery, Shane Avery, Justin Avery and Daniel Avery, Jr. as well as several great-grandchildren.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, T. J. Nance and George Nance as well as his sister-in-law, Marea Nance.
No visitation is planned to be held in Indiana. Following his cremation, a private celebration of life will be held with his family in Tennessee at a later date.
