Mt. Vernon, IN – Carl Thomas Knapp, 76, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on February 26, 1948 in Endicott, New York to the late William Knapp and Ruth Bailey.
Carl worked as a clinical psychologist. He was a member of the VFW Post #1114, the Eagle’s Club and the bowling leagues at Arc and Franklin Lanes in Evansville, Indiana. He enjoyed golfing, tennis and pickle ball.
He is survived by his daughter, Frances Lampson (Eli); his significant other, Pensri Woehler and her children, Michael and Cathy Woehler; his grandchildren, Miles and Jacob Lampson; his sister, Joan Knapp; his niece, Beth Bly as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Carl is preceded in death by his sister, Lois Muffly.
Celebration of life will be Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at VFW Post 1114.
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.
