Clifford Thomas, age 67, of Evansville, IN passed away at his home on Tuesday May 9th. After 13 months of aggressively battling Throat Cancer, the dark days gave away to a beautiful sunrise as Clifford passed peacefully in his bed surround by family.
He was born on May 10th 1955 in Tampa Florida. After serving in the Navy, he spent his career in IT project management for the City of Evansville and Spectrum Telecommunications. He retired in 2021 and spent his free time working on his boat, fixing up the house, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family. Before his illness, Cliff was proud to boast he had completed his lifelong goal of paying off his mortgage, car payments and a $0 debt balance.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Gloria (Johnson) Thomas, his son Zach Thomas, his two daughters Megan Sullivan Thomas, Shelby Thomas and the mischievous but loveable housecat Maximus.
The Thomas Family would like to thank the Oncology team at Deaconess Gateway along with the invaluable support and care of the Heart to Heart Hospice organization.
Cliffordโs remains have been cremated and a private celebration of life was held before his passing.
