Evansville, IN – Curtis Michael Shore, 35, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 12, 1985 in Evansville, Indiana, the beloved only son of Mike and Christa (Schelhorn) Shore also of Evansville.
Curtis shared a close bond with his family and loved them very much. He especially enjoyed the companionship of his two Boxer dogs, Beefy and Cheddar who were his constant companions.
Curt was an adventurer, taking hikes in the woods, mountain biking, skateboarding, working out and spending time with his friends. He followed his Mom in artistic endeavors. He was always in the process of restoring things, whether working on his house, or expressing his creativity by repurposing found items, driftwood, or glass pieces into unique artistic forms. He also loved making music.
Curt was very proud of his work as a Journeyman Electrician for the IBEW Local 16 where he served for 16 years. He trained under his Dad at SICTC, then went on to achieve his Associates degree in Vocational Electricity from Ivy Tech. Curt was always known as a jokester, bringing laughter into
the room, while at the same time having an incredibly generous heart always willing to help a brother, or anyone in need.
Curtis is survived by his parents, Mike and Christa Shore; his sister, Shari Devine (Matt); nieces and nephews, Julia, Ryan, and Arabella Devine; grandparents, Alan and Laura Schelhorn and Wanda Shore.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Marvin D. Shore.
He recently renewed his faith in God in early spring of 2020. He has finally found the peace he has searched for so long in the arms of Jesus. The prodigal is home.
An open house style celebration in honor of Curtis’ life will be held at the Vineyard Community Church, located at 851 N Redbank Road, Evansville, IN, 47712 from 12 noon to 4pm. on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.

Paula Janoski says
So sorry to hear about Curt’s passing. We send our deepest sympathies.
Shawn and Clint enjoyed their time spent with him years ago. And, we remember he came to our house to do some electrical work and he ended up having to call his Dad to help him figure out the electrical issue.
Mike and Paula Janoski and family

I read about Curtis Michael, I didn’t know him but he seemed like someone that should have stuck around with us for a lot longer, way too young to go and had so many more things to offer to his family and the World in time.
