Darlene Evans of Tell City Indiana passed away peacefully on July 31st after a battle with cancer.
She was born on November 24th, 1942, to John and MaryAnn Mattingly. She had 7 siblings.
Darlene was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 60 years. Dedicating her life to teaching others about the bible. Along with that she was an avid gardener. She was married to Lynn Evans Sr. on November 3rd, 1973.
Darlene is preceded in death by: Charles Mattingly, Margaret Mudd, Lucille Harrod, Joe Mattingly, and Dan Mattingly.
She is survived by siblings: Jean Williams and Bill Mattingly. She had 6 children: Julie Rambo, Leon (Bubby) Rountree, Ted Rountree, Tim Rountree, Stephanie Evans, and Lynn Evans Jr. She had 6 grandchildren: Jason Rambo, Christa Barrett, Nick Rountree, Michael Rambo Jr., Cody Lane, and Erin Scott. She also had many great-great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service for Darlene at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 17th at 2pm CST. The memorial service will be at 9715 Old State Rd 37, Tell City Indiana.

I have so many wonderful memories of Darlene! Too many to choose one. She taught me patience by watching her. She has a special place in my heart and Jehovah’s. While she will be missed, she will be remembered and welcomed back with great enthusiasm, love and celebration! My love and prayers are with all of you!
