Evansville, IN – David Eugene Sweeney, 50, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 28, 1970 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Daniel Lee and Karen Sue (Goodwin) Sweeney.
David’s primary goal in life was to make everyone laugh. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved kayaking, fishing and spending time with his family and friends whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Delilah (Scott) Sweeney; his children, Damien Sweeney (Stephanie) and Donaven Sweeney; grandchildren, Lidia, Daniel and Mason Sweeney and his siblings, Vickey Joiner, Martha Reeves, Juremy Sweeney and Billy Yaratch.
David is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Sarah Goodwin as well as his loving dog, Spot.
A potluck celebration of David’s life will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Burdette Shelter House #12. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. with a service beginning at 2:00 P.M.
