Evansville, IN – Gregory “Greg” Allen Mangold, 63, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away at his home with his loving family right by his side. He fought an incredibly courageous battle with cancer and lost his fight on November 11, 2023.
He was a dedicated family man, a wonderful husband, father and papaw. He enjoyed watching Nascar and Street Outlaws Racing, fishing and anything involving the outdoors. He could fix anything and would help anyone in their time of need.
Greg was an all around terrific human being. To know him was to love him! He touched many lives while here on Earth. He was born on March 13, 1960.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis Viola Singleton and Frances Joseph Mangold; two brothers, Joey Mangold and Jeff Mangold as well as his Grandma Singleton.
Greg attended Reitz High School. He worked at Intrametco as a supervisor for 23 years. He was also a maintenence supervisor at Foxfire Apartments.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart of 43 years, Brenda Mangold; Daughter Lindsey (Mangold) Ogburn; son Dustin Mangold; grandson Caleb Mitz (Sammy) and granddaughter, Kelsey Mitz; his siblings, Gerald Mangold, Mary Kay Schoonover (Jimmy) and Kathy Flahardy; a host of beloved nieces and nephews and a lot of wonderful friends as well as his beloved pet dog, Tussie.
The family would like to thank all of the hospice nurses for Greg’s comfort.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
