Helen Marie Haynes (Hansen), age 82, of Henderson, Ky was
welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Monday January 3, 2022 at
Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Ky after a long illness.
She is survived by her three daughters Linda Wojcik (Thomas),
Cynthia Swope (Thomas), and Karen Haynes and her brother Donald
Hansen (Cleo). Along with her nine grandchildren Kimberly Breier
(Dennis), Michelle Pazar (Christopher), Megan Weathers (Michael),
Helen Batty (Christopher), Bridget Swope, Thomas Swope, Michael
Wojcik (Shelley), Lillie Haynes and her 16 great grandchildren and
many nieces and nephews.
Helen was born and raised in Hammond, IN. Where she attended
Hammond Tech. High School. She later worked as a switchboard
operator at Milliken’s Department Store where she met the love of her
life Bobby Joe Haynes. They were married and spent 60 loving years
together before his death exactly one year before her. She also
worked at Community News Service in Hammond where she made
many lifelong friends.
She moved to Henderson, Ky along with her husband and shared
their daily lives with their daughter Karen and granddaughter Lillie.
Her favorite pastimes were sitting in the sunroom her husband built
for her to watch all the golfers play and go by, gardening, and visiting
with good neighbors and friends. She was a loving and kind mother
and nana to all her family. She’ll be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Bobby J.
Haynes, daughter Kimberly L. Haynes, her parents Milton L. Hansen
and Lillie M. Hansen, and her brother Robert Hansen.

I loved the way to come to Crackerbarrel and shop with you’re Mom on phone and looking at Christmas items! She was so precious! Thinking and praying for you all!
