Henderson, KY – Janice Gail (Campbell) Franklin, 63, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Deaconess Hospital in Henderson. She was born on August 17, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Johnny Carlisle Campbell and Mary Beatrice (Beck) Wilke.
Janice truly loved all of her family and unfailingly expressed that love. She was caring, kind hearted and giving. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. Janice was undeniably young at heart and had a natural way with children. She instantly became a favorite among every child she encountered. She was also a favorite aunt, cousin and friend.
She is survived by her children, Nathan O’Brien and Jill Thomas; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her sister, Doris Dale, her mother, Mary Wilke and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her faithful caregiver and daughter in law, Jennifer Skaggs.
Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Franklin; her son, Richard Carlisle Biggers; Her fathers, Johnny Campbell and William Wilke and her brother, Steven Alan Campbell.
A memorial service in honor of Janice will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Dayspring Church of God, located at 3001 US Hwy 60 E in Henderson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m.
