Jeffrey Preston Dyer, age 47, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on January 20, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Jeff was born on May 2, 1972 in Washington, Indiana to Larry E. and Martha (Wood) Dyer.
Jeff was a 1990 graduate of North Daviess High School. He enjoyed spending time with his son (Preston), daughter (Kenzie) and his 4-legged child (Rusty). He was an avid fan of IU Basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals. Jeff will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Martha (Wood) Dyer of Odon; two children, Preston and Kenzie Dyer of Greenfield; his loving girlfriend, Kristi Davis of Newburgh; three brothers, Jason (Jessica McVey) Dyer of Madison, Alan (Patty) Dyer of Plainville and Kelly (Anita) Dyer of Colorado; and aunts, Fern (Mark) Goodman, Marsha Wood, and Bonnie Stafford. He was proceeded in death by his father, Larry E. Dyer; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Juanita (Ainscough) Dyer; and maternal grandparents, Marion Wood and Marjorie (Vest) Stafford.
A private Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.

Kristi I am so very sorry for the sudden loss of the person who has made you happy for a good while now. I do not ever understand what God’s plan is but I know it is not ours to dispute. I knew that Jeff and you were very happy together as I saw a few Facebook photos where it was obvious that you had much love for each other. I am so sorry for your loss! ❤️
