I met John T. Hall 2 days before he passed away. I was in my front yard watering all my flowers and he just stopped and wanted to talk to me about butterflies and seeds and plants and hummingbirds. He asked if he could buy some seeds and I said no what would you like.. and he wanted milkweed seeds. He asked how to plant them, I said stand in the field cast them to the wind! I asked him if he truly loved butterflies would he like to release one into the sky because I had two butterflies hatch that day. He said yes.
He was thrilled to hold a brand new butterfly and set it free to fly. He asked if it would be ok if he came by again and I said “certainly”. I texted him and he answered right away for 2 days, then went silent. Then I found out he had passed away. I was very sad.
We had a beautiful beginning and ending. May God bless his soul in heaven.
