Kay Lynn-Burghardt passed away in her sleep from pneumonia/COPD. She worked in the medical field as an RN for a variety of medical facilities in California, and Indiana. She loved antiques, musicals, Muhammad Ali, films ranging from classic Hollywood to midnight movies, and was lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. Kay was an accomplished Southern cook, and her home was the hub for every major and minor holiday on the calendar. Kay talked frequently of visiting the Serengeti, and the Virunga National Park, and she had an immense love of animals, wild and domestic. She enjoyed a vast variety of music, some of her favorites being George Jones, Prince, Dolly Parton, Alicia Bridges, Meatloaf, Billy Idol, Luciano Pavarotti, Mahailia Jackson, and Elmore James. Her wicked sense of humor helped her navigate many of life’s obstacles with aplomb. She was preceded in death by her husbands Arthur Lynn, and Al Burghardt, both Veterans of foreign wars, and is survived by her brothers Gary Lee, and Danny James, and her only child Robin. Kay will be dearly missed.
