Kirk Wayne Russ (Aged 49) passed away of natural causes in his home unexpectedly at approximately 8am on November 4th, 2024. Kirk was most importantly, not only a father, but a grandfather as well. He loved seeing his grandkids any chance he could and always asked about their wellbeing as well as what they were up to. He loved and advocated for both his cats Bebe and Jack (especially the latter). Kirk loved to show off the semi-frequent new pair of shoes (usually Nike or Jordan) he had got as well as sunglasses, watches or clothes such as a jacket or shirt. Kirk grew up skateboarding around the neighborhoods of Evansville; he was an extremely impressive and talented street style skateboarder. Kirk had an immense passion for art and drawing as well as an early interest in tattooing. Kirk loved building model cars, as well as working on actual vehicles and motorcycles. He had a fondness of riding as well in his earlier years. He also loved to cook, especially chili, pork steaks, homemade french fries and bean patties. Kirk hated sour cream and mayonnaise but loved pot roast, pizza, mandarin oranges and a cold Ski. Kirk loved a lot of different kinds of music such as rock, rap and gospel. He enjoyed camping and traveling when he had the opportunity to, such as going to Gatlinburg or St Louis. Kirk enjoyed riding his bicycle around and always had multiple to select from at the home. He was an all around handyman from renovating homes, painting, laying carpet to changing tires and the oil on a car if you needed it. Kirk had both overcame and still dealt with many vices and trauma throughout his life and navigated them all to the best of his abilities. Kirk had recently (and proudly) completed his drug program after a year which is a massive milestone for anyone in a position similar to his. Kirk loved and is still loved by many regardless of any circumstances. He will be missed for the rest of the time we share on this earth.
Kirk is survived by his parents Jerry & Judy, sister Kimberly, children Christian and Champayne, grandchildren Aria, Amari, Shai & Willow, nieces Cheyenne & Raegan, nephew Zayne along with many more friends and family.
