Newburgh, IN – Larry V. Spencer, 80, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born on September 4, 1941 in Benton, Illinois to the late Vernon and Lorene (Perry) Spencer.
Larry was a member of Living Word Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana. He loved spending his time hunting, riding motorcycles and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Opal (Swain) Spencer; his children, Jeff Spencer (Les) and Julie Spencer; his step children, Carmen Stafford (Matt) and Lisa Iannello (Michael); his grandchildren, Madeline, Sarah, Morgan, Nathan, Chelsea (Jeff), Jacob, Nicholas (Maisie), Isiah, Jesse, Annie, Eva, Rex and Katie as well as his bonus grandchild, Vince; his siblings, Marietta Sneed (Dwight) and Russell Spencer.
Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Laverne Spencer.
A celebration of life service will take place at Living Word Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana on Sunday, April 24, 2022 with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and services starting at 3:00 p.m.
Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.
