Marjorie Logan, aged 86, died peacefully on September 13, 2019 at Linda E. White Hospice House after a brief struggle with colon cancer. Marjorie was born April 9, 1933 in Wenatchee, WA and at 2½ years was adopted by her parents Alton and Ethel (Sanderson) Anderson of Battleground, Washington.
Marjorie began playing piano when she was 5½ and loved playing the piano which she did so faithfully for her beloved church for over 50 years. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers.
In 1958, Marjorie married the love of her life, Franklin Mitchell Logan. She worked for Vanderburgh County Health Department until her retirement in 2012.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Mitchell Logan; her parents, Alton and Ethel (Sanderson) Anderson of Battleground, Washington; brother Tom Anderson and sister Ruth (Anderson) Cooper.
Survived by her son, Rodney (Carol) Logan of New Harmony, IN; daughters, Karen Logan of Liberty Hill, TX and Launi Logan of Evansville, IN; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Marjorie’s life and memorial will be held at Evansville Westside SDA Church on Saturday, September 21st at 3 PM. She loved her church and church family so much and would want any expressions of grief to go toward donations there. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent in her name to Evansville Westside SDA Church, 2908 Mount Vernon Ave, Evansville, IN 47712.
