Born in 1962 to Eugene and Betty (Kasbohm) Nevill, Mary attended Harrison High School and graduated from USI with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
She worked as an accountant for several construction companies including M & W Concrete Pipe, and was the Director of Finance for Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc.
Mary loved animals and supported many local and national Animal protection organizations. She also loved to travel and has made many trips to Europe to enjoy the ancient architecture, varied cultures, history and scenery.
She is survived by her husband Allen LeGate, her mother Betty Nevill and two step-children – Martha Scheman and her husband James, and Mark LeGate and his wife Stacia.
She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Nevill.

The following are Allen’s own words.
Mary’s decision is to be cremated with no visitation. At the appropriate time, our ashes will be mingled and distributed to an unknown location.
Mary would want everyone to know that her favorite musicians are Bruce Springsteen and Warren Zevon.
She and I would like to share this poem “Dirge Without Music” by Edna St. Vincent Millay.
I am not resigned to the shutting away of loving hearts in the hard ground.
So it is, and so it will be, for so it has been, time out of mind:

I am so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. The last time I saw Mary we had lunch together and it was so much fun catching up with her. I never pass the restaurant without thinking of her and will never. She will be missed. Please take care.
