Michael Raymond “Bigfoot” Martin was born on August 11, 1969 in LIncoln, Illinois. To the late William Martin and Carolyn (Tucker) Norris. He passed away on March 22, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Hospice Care Center, Henderson, Ky.
He attended Morrison High School. He served in the Navy.
He was a mechanic, firefighter, and a truck driver as well as many other things in his life time. He drove semi in the lower 48 states. He always had a story to share from being on the road. Keeping everyone around him in stitches most days. He had a great sense of humor. Mike loved most music and listened to a variety of it.
Mike loved his family. He was a kind, loyal, and hard working man. He enjoyed working on his trucks, watching car shows, and spending time with his little one, Annee. Annee was the sparkle in his eye and his heart.
Mike always knew how to fix everything…from vehicles to hearts. A true family man, always helping and taking care of what needed to be done.
He was the family go to for his wife, daughters, sister and mom’s. It didn’t matter what time it was, day or night.
Favorite saying of his: “ I have driven more miles backwards, then you ever will forward.” Often said when someone was complaining about having to drive.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal and paternal grandparents.
