Ronald Simmonds, beloved son of Joyce Aman and Ronald C. Simmonds, was born on January 13, 1964, in St. Louis, MO. He peacefully passed away on May 2, 2024, in Henderson, KY, surrounded by love. Ronald was a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of all who knew him. He was an avid fan of watching races at Daytona Speedway, finding solace in the thundering engines and thrilling competition. Ronald found peace in the great outdoors through camping and fishing, where he could connect with nature and recharge his spirit. Ronald was a loving father to his children Scott and Nathan (Anna). His children were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be remembered by his family and friends. In his passing, Ronald was preceded by his parents Joyce Aman and Ronald Simmonds, stepmother Betty Simmonds, and stepsister Kathleen Weichert. While his physical presence may be gone, the memories and love shared with Ronald will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Ronald is survived by the mother of his children, Carla, his stepbrother Randy (Michelle) Simmonds, and several brothers and sisters. The family of Ronald Simmonds would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Henderson Nursing and Rehab and St. Anthony’s Hospice for their compassionate care and dedication in keeping Ronald comfortable during his final moments. Your kindness and support will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice in honor of Ronald Simmonds. Your contribution will help continue the important work of providing comfort and care to those in need. Ronald Simmonds may have left this world, but his spirit lives on in the cherished memories and the love he shared with those around him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten. There will be no services, as Ronald wished to be cremated.
