Scott Andrew “Grumpy” Jenkins, 64, of Newburgh passed away, Friday January 10, 2025 at his home in Newburgh.
Scott was born in Evansville Indiana on March 14, 1960 to the late Raymond and Marilyn (Kuhn) Jenkins. He was the youngest of 3 boys.
Grumpy was a collector of all things and it is no surprise to all that he also collected job experiences. He built towers for Central Tower, moved houses for and other buildings for MCF, operated heavy equipment, drove a semi, was a welder, and even owned his own engine and auto body repair shop.
Survivors include former wife, Janet Jenkins; children, Aimée Ames (Scott) and Jon Jenkins (Courtney); grand-children, Emilée Jenkins, Keegan Ames, Rhieland Jenkins, Karter Ames, and Brixin Jenkins; siblings, Kenny Jenkins (Pam) and David Jenkins (Sandra), and his beloved four-legged companion, Moses.
Grumpy loved everyone and didn’t know a stranger. Despite his very hard exterior, he was a kind and loving man with a heart big enough to help everyone.
Thank you for loving him with us!
Grumpy asked that we do not have a funeral, he hated them. He asked that we have party full of stories.
We ask that you respect family’s privacy from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
We encourage friends to join us 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The party starts Friday, January 24, 2025 at Burdette Park 5301 Nurrenbern Rd, Evansville, IN 47712-9368, United States Shelter 13
