Shannon Lynn Rone (Moffett), 56, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Washington, Indiana, on Dec. 7, 1963.
Shannon was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother.
Shannon was one who always put others’ needs before her own and would always be the one to turn to when guidance or advice was needed. She loved to surround herself with her grandkids and her pets, enjoyed weekend sleepovers with her grandkids, nights filled with board games and laughter. Shannon always held a competitive edge even with all the grandkids on game night, never liked to lose.
Shannon’s story brought so much joy to so many people. Her passion for life came through just as she meant it to. We will forever keep her close to our hearts as we walk through our own journey of life. Shannon’s legacy will continue to shape lives for many generations to come. May God continue to bless all and may Shannon rest in peace as she makes our angels laugh in heaven with her amazing sense of humor and quirky ways.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Steve Rone of Newburgh; cherished mother, Sandra Gaultney of Evansville, Indiana; three beloved children, Joseph R. Queen (Shandice Wells) of Chandler, Indiana, Mathew B. Queen (Melissa Morrison) of Robertson, Illinois, and Brittany M. (Queen) Cooper of Evansville; two amazing stepchildren, Charity (Gaddis) Roberson (Matt Roberson) and Keilan Roberts (Craig Roberts); nine grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren; sister Donna Marsch (Frank Marsch); brother Jeff Moffett (Angie Moffett); and several nieces and nephew and great-nieces and nephews.
Shannon is preceded in death by her father, Jack Gaultney; grandson, Dayton M. Queen; uncles Buddy Truelove and Steve Truelove; grandparents, Merle and Betty Truelove.
